The Tefilat HaDerech piece is made for a space people pass through: an entrance hall, an entry corridor or the wall beside the front door. Common sizes there are 40x60 cm (about ₪545 in canvas) and 50x70 cm (₪960 on tempered glass), and as a gift, 20x30 cm at about ₪390. Printed in Beit Shemesh by SRC Collection. This page covers why the entrance is its natural place, a table of six positions with the size and material for each, when it works as a gift and for whom, how glass and canvas differ on a text print, and what to know about prices, delivery and hanging.
Tefilat HaDerech is a text said when setting out on a journey, so the logic of the position is simple: the wall you pass on the way out. In practice that means three places - the entry corridor, the wall facing the door, or the wall beside the door at eye level. There is a practical dimension too: an entrance is usually a narrow space, often with no window, and a text-based piece works better there than a wide landscape that needs viewing distance. Two points to note. First, in an entrance people look from very close range, sometimes a single metre, so a large size is unnecessary - 40x60 or 50x70 cm is enough. Second, people come and go with bags and coats, so hang it high enough to avoid contact, centre 145 to 150 cm from the floor.
The table gives six common positions with the size and material that suit each. The two principles behind it: a short viewing distance allows a smaller size, and any place that gets touched or collects dust and steam calls for tempered glass, which wipes clean with a damp cloth. In an entrance where the piece hangs high, above a door or above a console, you can drop to 30x45 cm. In an office or a waiting room, where it is seen from several metres and contributes to the atmosphere, go up to 50x70 or 60x90 cm. The piece is available in every catalogue size, from 20x30 to 150x200 cm, in both materials. More blessing art → guide.

This is one of the pieces bought from us as a gift more often than for the buyer's own home, and the occasions repeat. A housewarming is the most common: 50x70 cm in canvas at about ₪745 is generous without being imposing, and it suits the entrance of almost any flat. For a new car or a newly licensed driver, 20x30 cm at about ₪390 is a size that can hang at home or at work. A friend leaving for a long stay abroad, or a family member moving house, also falls into the 40x60 cm range. The advantage of this piece as a gift is that it fits nearly any home without demanding a style or colour match to someone else's space.
On a piece that is entirely text, the material affects sharpness and upkeep. Tempered glass sharpens edges, so Hebrew letters in a designed typeface come out clean, and the contrast between text and ground is stronger. In an entrance there is a further advantage: it is a space that collects dust and fingerprints, and a damp cloth removes both without leaving a trace. Canvas softens the text, gives the warm look of paper or cloth, and weighs far less - an advantage on the plasterboard wall of a corridor, where a strong anchor is not always available. Price difference: 40x60 cm about ₪545 in canvas against ₪685 on glass; 50x70 cm about ₪745 against ₪960. Cleaning guide → guide.

Every item is made to order in Beit Shemesh, arrives ready to hang with the hardware fitted on the back, and delivery takes up to 18 days. On the plasterboard wall of an entry corridor, use a metal butterfly fixing rather than a plain plastic plug. Shipping ₪65-80 by area, free pickup in Beit Shemesh, tax invoice available.
On the wall you pass on the way out: the entry corridor, the wall facing the door or the wall beside it. In an entrance people look from close range, sometimes one metre, so 40x60 or 50x70 cm is enough. Hang it with the centre 145 to 150 cm up so bags and coats do not touch it.
For a housewarming, 50x70 cm at about ₪745 in canvas - generous without being imposing, and suited to almost any entrance hall. For a smaller gift, for a new car or a newly licensed driver, 20x30 cm at about ₪390. Both sizes arrive ready to hang.
Tempered glass sharpens the letters and raises contrast, and in an entrance - a space that collects dust and fingerprints - it wipes clean with a damp cloth. Canvas softens the text toward the warm look of paper, and it is far lighter to hang on a plasterboard corridor wall.

Yes, and it is a common position - in a waiting room, at the office entrance or in a meeting room. There the piece is seen from several metres, so 50x70 or 60x90 cm works better. For business orders we issue a written quote and a tax invoice.
It depends on the wall. Hollow plasterboard needs a metal butterfly or molly fixing, never a plain plastic plug, which pulls out. Aerated block needs a dedicated plug, and poured concrete a 6 to 8 mm plug. In every case use two anchor points, even at the smaller sizes.
